Northshore Regional Representatives
Posted over 8 years ago by Alison Thornhil
My name is Alison Thornhill. I am one of the new Northshore Regional representatives for the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. I will be job sharing with Robin Fisher. In 1999 I graduated from Drury University in Missouri with a Bachelors in Biology. In 2005 I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelors in Nursing. I worked as an ER Nurse until I graduated from Loyola University in 2013. In 2013 I was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society and I was the recipient of the Florence Nightingale Award at Loyola in 2013. I am currently employed by North Oaks Internal Medicine Clinic as a nurse practitioner. In 1995 I joined the United States Army Reserves as an enlisted soldier and I commissioned in 2011 as a nurse. I currently hold the rank of CPT and have been serving for 22 years. I am excited to be the Northshore Regional Representative and I look forward to see what the next few years have in store for not only me, but for the entire profession of nurse practitioners. We are an amazing group of people and our job roles are very unique and very much in demand. I hope to not only host meetings that will entice people to attend, but to promote more nurse practitioners to become involved in LANP to build a solid foundation for our organization. We hope to get involved with our communities to not only promote but to also educate the community about the role of the NP.
Please do not hesitate to contact us via email lanpnorthshore@yahoo.com with any questions or idea you may have. We look forward to working with everyone in the near future. We would like for everyone to stay active and involved. There is always strength in numbers.
