Hello Northshore NPs

This is Robin Fischer and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I began my nursing career as an LPN in 1994. I completed the LPN to RN bridge program at Delgado-Charity School of Nursing in 2005.  In 2011 I earned my BSN and then in 2013 my MSN from Loyola University New Orleans. My work experience has mostly concentrated in cardiovascular specialty areas including over 10 years of telemetry experience and 8 years of Cath Lab experience. I have worked in private cardiology practices both as a LPN and NP, including managing Coumadin and Pacemaker clinics.  I am credentialed as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the AANP and also as a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner by the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine.  It is with great pleasure that I serve as co-representative of the LANP Northshore region with my past classmate and colleague Alison Thornhill.  I am excited to work with all of you in the upcoming year. I am especially excited to be working with the Health Care Policy committee in our efforts to achieve full practice authority in Louisiana. We expect our first dinner meeting to be in March and I look forward to meeting you.
