New Northshore Representative

Hi all! I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. I am Penny Thomas and I will be joining Allison Thornhill as one of your Northshore representatives. I am currently teaching in both the graduate and undergradute Schools of Nursing at Southeastern La. University and practice in an urgent care/ED setting on the Northshore. I have been a member of LANP and AANP since early 2014 and now look forward to serving in this role. My goal as representative is to increase membership and active participation in our professional organization in an effort to move our profession forward. Over the next few weeks, I will be setting up meetings on the Northshore and posting them to this site. If you have a speaker you feel may be of interest to the group, please feel free to let me know and I will do my best to get it set up. If you have any ideas on increasing membership or active participation of those already members, I would love to hear that as well.
